As you know, my crystal ball remains opaque. But here is a short list of ideas for consideration by various authorities in 2025. These are entirely economic, rather than political.
- Reduce regulations: these now represent more than 10% of business expenses
- Tax reduction: oddly, reducing tax burdens increase revenues
- Workfare: bring back Mr. Clinton’s ideas on this to encourage independence, reduce dependence
- Energy: encourage all forms of energy sourcing within these United States and globally
- Healthcare: whether by privatizing or price transparency, control these expenditures while providing appropriate care
- School: choice, objectivity and fair treatment with emphasis upon both The Classics and Trade Schools
- Immigration: reform with the entire nation in mind
- Urban: renew, refresh and rebuild America’s urban infrastructure
- Environment: withdraw from the Paris climate accords. CO2 is a boon to all plants, animals and humans
- Comity: we are a fractious nation; build upon this rather than exploit it
Le plus ca change, le plus c ’est le meme chose. Let’s prove this nonsense wrong: change is perpetual and refreshing, rather than exploitative.
The pie is only so big. Unless the pie gets bigger, healthier and less costly. Efficiencies drive prices rather than regulatory dictat.
You can’t take it with you. Let’s give more away as we mature. Make a list, check them via charity navigator. Support them each year.
